Hello.
What this paper says (from the forum startpage): http://buschtaxi.org/cms/fileadmin/daten/fahrzeuge/j9/kzj9_euro1.pdf
I think it means that the vehicle fulfills emission level (96/69/EGIII). I don´t know German language much. But is it Euro1 or Euro2? I think M1/N1 cars should be after 1.1.1997 Euro2...
And what is this: "FZ ERFUELLT RL94/12/EGII" what is said on the paper and it´s also on Fahrzeugbrief. I think this is Euro2... or is it?
What is this original Schlϋsselnummer 23, isn´t it Euro1 already? |

Hello,
This paper says you can change the entered emissions level to a better level only by changing the entry in the papers. At least that is what the german TÜV does. I don´t know how that works in Finland.
If this is from Euro0 to Euro1 or Euro1 to Euro2 somebody else has to give an answer to. I think it is from Euro1 to Euro 2 but I am not sure.

It´s not matter in Finland (no change in taxes).
I found this: http://www.bruessel.diplo.de/Vertretung/bruessel/de/merkblaetter/DownloadDatei__ADAC,property=Daten.pdf
It says 94/12 and 96/69 are Euro2. But I also found that Schlϋsselnummer 29 is Euro1 and Schlϋsselnummer 23 is nothing. Weird... Maybe it makes some differences because totalmass is over 2500 kg, it seems to be some line for directives.
And why I´m doing this... I try to prove that after intercooler installation the emissions should be ok, because emission level is better than it should be at stock condition (I have -96). In theory intercooler could add a little HC emissions, but Nox is much better. |

Hi,
Zitat: Maybe it makes some differences because totalmass is over 2500 kg, it seems to be some line for directives.
In Germany there is a difference if your car is over a certain weight limit, as 2500kg.
Zitat: And why I´m doing this... I try to prove that after intercooler installation the emissions should be ok, because emission level is better than it should be at stock condition (I have -96). In theory intercooler could add a little HC emissions, but Nox is much better.
Is this a problem if you just want to mount an intercooler in Finland? Isn´t there a way to ask Toyota about an emmissions sheet from the KZ-TE version with stock intercooler like in Australia?
I presume you want to equip your car with an intercooler and you need to prove that the emmissions will not become worse afterwards. Am I right? If so, do you want to use the stock intercooler or a selfmade version?

Yes, it´s a problem. How about there?
Toyota Finland don´t say anything, they don´t know and I think they don´t want to know. They don´t give any information for changing structure.
You presume just right. I´d want to use selfmade version, the original is so high price unit. I´m thinking of watercooled version.
This is very nice (homemade) setup :

Hi,
intercooler modifications are very popular
Just look around a little in the other threads....
http://forum.buschtaxi.org/galaxyq-baut-sich-nen-llk-t18460.html
But as much as I know the german TÜV doesn´t even recognise the intercooler changes in the exhaust emissions test. Which would be logical, because it was available as a stock option for some countries. Maybe someone else can confirm that.
Nevertheless in Germany we have to get any intercooler entered in the car papers with the new amount of horsepower, otherwise we loose insurance protection.
Do you have the part number for the original intercooler?

I think if the german TÜV says it´s ok, it should be ok here too. But how could I prove it? Do anybody have any paper where is said that there is no need of a new (laboratory) emission test after intercooler installation?
Yes I have the part numbers of intercooler parts, I can found it from Toyota EPC:

Anybody? Do you need "TÜV gutachten" for homemade intercooler
I found this...
