First off, thank you for taking the time to read through this in Englisch.
I bought this 4runner after it had been sitting up for 8months. The guy that owned it before me buried it in the mud and left it sitting after it overheated. 1000USD, I couldnt resist the purchase on the off chance I could salvage a 'classic'.
So, my problem to start is this-
94 4Runner
3.0l Automatic 4x
The fan cooling spacer kit went out. I ordered one from the States but it didnt match exactly. Bottom two studs wouldnt allow it to slide all the way down so I just bored it over and slid it on.
However, now I can not get the belts to align correctly on the pulleys. Does anyone have a diagram or advice? Besides, sell the damn truck? (I may be interested in selling it if I can't get it back up and running though.)
Thanks in advance.
Vielen Dank! |

Muddy- I have an electronic manual but it doesnt have a picture diagram unfortunately. Mail from the States takes me about 7 days to get a post. I am under pressure to get this thing up and running as I have the American TUV in 29 days. (And if I do decide to sell it, having a manual does me no good <grin> )
Angela- Got the PM. Thanks. I cant view the links at work but I will check them out from home this evening.
Fongs- I bought my parts from Autozone (minus the fan spacer they dont carry) as they ship parts to me with no postage fees.
The tensioner pulley is driving me nuts. That silly bracket that does nothing but hold it on!
I will keep interested parties posted on my harrowing tales of Toyota knuckle busting! |
