Hi!
I was not able to find the pipe for BJ75, it is missing from Finnish catalogues. Can I use some parts from other Cruisers? It consists of 3 parts. Could it be that two first are the same in BJ73 for instance?

Hi Leshik,

of those three parts, only the front part is the same in BJ70, BJ73, BJ75 for production Aug 88 to Jan 90. The centre and tail parts are specific to the BJ75 (I guess due to the length of the chassis; wheelbase); the centre part was made during the same time interval as above, and the tail was made from Nov 84 to Jan 90. It depends upon the production time of your cruiser; I checked for the 1989 of a friend. Oh, all parts are specific to the 3B engine, i.e. an HJ75 will have a different exhaust.

Laplander, thank you very much for the info! It seems to me, that I have to make the pipe by myself. Unfortunately, my Finish is not in good shape yet, but I'm working on it . I'm from Helsinki. Have you participated in Lapland Trophy this year near from Rovaniemi? Nice to see you here:-)

Hi Leshik,

I didn't participate in the Lapland Trophy, but might next year. I did participate, however, in the Raajärvi Safari organised by the Finnish Land Cruiser Club (check www.slck.net for more info). This club and its message board are useful to join, and you can write there in English, too; someone will usually answer and help.

Anyway, if your LC is older than 88 then I can look up the part numbers of the older version for you. I'm surprised Toyota Finland does not have these parts. Another option would be to mail-order from Germany, which is often cheaper anyway. I have done it several times (e.g. axle gasket kit is half price, engine gasket kit is half price etc., but some parts are also same price as in FIN, so always ask. Often you save even if you pay for shipping).
