Letzter Beitrag der vorhergehenden Seite:

Thanks!

The engine were overhauled in Hannover (Motoren Henze); the body was restored in Berlin; the assamble was done by ORCM (Holger), i just slightly helped them.

The only problematic part was the gearbox, instead of 1 month it was overhauled in 6 months, and looks like not very professional. It's a very famous company in Germany, but i don't want to make a negative PR.

Here is a short overview of the spare parts I was lucky to find for this project

Hallo Andrey ,
No no that's no compliment ; it's pure jealousy :angryfire: !!!
Your restoration is one of these " American style " where
cars go in auctions go for exorbitant prices .
The Most restorations are technically good ,
but yours are like new from the factory :unwuerdig: :unwuerdig: :unwuerdig: !
Btw , you got your missing link ?
Bye bye ,
Markus

Dear Markus,
I found the long yoke instead of a short one

I also found a nice chain and small parts for my winch

Dear Andrey,
these days I have some more Time to spent at home than I would like to. So I found your thread and its really nice to see your cruiser on the road again. And it´s a pleasure to remember the work on the body with all the special features.
I wish you a great time of riding and traveling!
Greetings from Berlin
Marcus

Dear Andrey, as a proud owner of a BJ43 myself, which is heavily used and abused also in offroad trips, I cheer to your restauration. Can I ask you about your rear seat? Where does it come from? Is that custom made?
Cheers, Michal

Dear Michal,
This type of the seat is from Japanese BJ44/BJ46. It was available in Japan only.
It’s a headache to buy. It’s available on the Japan auctions (buyee.jp), but exceeds the postal limit. I had to find a local person in Japan, send it by ship to Vladivostok, by train to Moscow, by plane to Vienna and by car to Teterow. I would not recommend it again:)
Sometimes it’s possible to see in the ih8mud.com Classified section - rare, not cheap and still to pick up in US.
Regards
Andrey

I repainted it to the original grey color (LO11 color trim) and replaced the seat cover - to the front seat style.

My next challenge is to set the original non lift height

I was lucky to buy the NOS leaf springs

As a bonus I have to replaced my used front drums (super rare) to the new NOS drum set
