Are you so top heavy, that you dedice to turn back?

The point at 17:02 dont look like impossible to cross further for me. To drive at that angle dont feels nice, but it need more to really turnover. At least in 23:22 it looks like more than before. Anyway - Video/Picture never shows the reality - we all know. ..

Thanks for sharing, it was again very nice to see these beautiful landscapes :D

Surfy,
Yah, videos and photos never show the reality.
We're not too top heavy, but we don't have sway bars so we lean a fair bit. I've taken trucks to the mid 30's in degrees so I knew we wouldn't get nearly that far. For us it was a combination of feeling light headed, knowing the ground was seeping water in that section so we could slide and then that would be it and being so far from anyone else. I'd love to go back with one other truck and I wouldn't worry about it.
In the moment I realized it was purely ego to want to go further. There was nothing higher, but bragging rights. (Not that I didn't sorta want those, haha!)

This week we explore and camp at the Sulfur mine at the base of Mt. Uturuncu and realize that Bolivia may be headed into a tough time with road blocks popping up around us and blocking fuel stations.

This week we find ourselves taking unmapped dirt roads through the mountains to avoid road blocks and closed fuel stations. We happen to find ourselves in the town where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid met their end... or did they.

This week we do some maintenance in Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia. This "capitalist" city stands in stark contrast to the rest of the country. It's known as the most capitalistic city and the locals joked that their city pays so much in taxes to float the rest of the country.
We also remember that a half days work takes three days in Latin America.

90 muddy miles with 122 wooden bridges.

Really, it wasn’t all that bad, but a part of my brain told me “Hey, you’re in Brazil, going over bridges that you’d never trust normally, sliding next to a marsh filled with Caiman and you drove here from Arizona. What the hell?! Hahaha”

It doesn’t always hit you. A lot of the trip is just happening and unfolding before you without it feeling like some amazing or pivotal experience. It’s just life. That being said, there are these moments. These moments where you start to chuckle like an insane person. Where the office dwelling, weekend adventuring you, see’s the current you in rubber boots, at some exotic location trying to speak Portuguese and just finds it all hilarious.
So, here is this weeks adventure.

We make our way from the muddy jungle to the worlds largest waterfall with some beautiful stops on the way. Oh yah, we also talk firearms with the nice gentleman who walked into camp with a pistol in his belt telling us to leave.

Join us as we discover what random Brazil has to offer.

This week we head over to the Argentinian side of the falls and are blown away by the immensity. We're not normally a fan of touristy areas, but this one won us over.

Thank you! We are doing some saving, working and US exploring while we plan and hope for the world to return to normal. We may have to do a run to Baja this winter to stay sane!

Hey Tom,
Check out the post above yours. We're now back in the USA since the end of March when Covid started working on editing the video we took while we were there. We put the date that each video was shot in the description of the vid on Youtube.
Nice 80 series by the way.

Tim
