FUEL

Beitrag von sevil »

Hi,
The 3D4D engine is suppose to run only on low sulphur diesel.
Within Europa it,s all fine.
What if I go ahead on going overland to ZA, and I,m unable to find such diesel on the road?
I would appreciate your opinions.

Then.... you should have bought a BJ45 with 3B engine... That can handle ANY fuel quality ;-)

Donno much bout engines, I just know there is devices to test fuel quality before you pour it in... If I was you I 'd organise one of those so you can at least choose the best avaliable option...

Hola Sevil:

1. You'll just fill'er up with whatever you get and drive.

2. Perhaps some STP product will reduce soot; I'm skeptical.

3. An additional diesel filter can reduce solid impurities.

4. Check the injectors more frequently, they suffer most from dirty diesel.

Muchos saludos,

don Matías.
