Ein sehr interessanter Bericht über einen Tundra der über eine Million Meilen gefahren ist und von Toyota zum Analysieren zerlegt wurde.
Erstaunlich wie gut der Zustand ist. Viel ist aber bestimmt auch auf sehr mildes Klima zurückzuführen wo er bewegt wurde nachdem er praktisch rostfrei ist.

Diese Art von Meldung ist für mich immer Anlaß nachzuschauen, was der Kilometerfresser schlechthin, Mr. Irv Gordon und sein Volvo P1800 so treiben. Leider musste ich heute feststellen, dass Mr. Gordon vor knapp zwei Jahren von uns gegangen ist und somit das eingetreten ist, was er schon immer prophezeit hat: Sein Wagen wird ihn überleben!
3 Millionen Meilen bei nicht kommerzieller Nutzung mit ein- und denselben Auto, es wird wohl für immer unerreicht bleiben.

Naja das sind so die bekannten Fahrleistungsweltmeister,diese und einige andere,....nteressanter sind jedoch die Fahrzeuge in Afrika die ohne viel Pflege nahezu ewig fahren. Mercedes /8 oder 123 er Serie.

Dann ist das ja sowas wie Teil 2 davon
Dass sie den 2UZ Prüfstand wieder aufgebaut haben und so viel Arbeit in die Analyse stecken finde ich sehr beeindruckend
