Hallo Leute,
bin durch Zufall auf das Forum hier gestossen , coole Sache. Kurz zu mir (wenn das hier hin gayhoert), ich bin Rico bin mitte 20 und lebe und arbeite in Australien. Ich war frueher in der VW Scene, aber seit wir Down Under im Nissan Turbo Patrol bereist haben, sind 4WD meine Leidenschaft, ich wollte immer einen 12HT 60 Series, weil die einfach am meisten Charakter haben. Und der Pushrod Motor ist ein Masterpiece.

Hier ist mein Pferd, ich hab den Gaul seit ueber einem Jahr, aus 2ter Hand gekauft mit 297tKm auf der Uhr. Er war ziemlich standard als ich Ihn erworben hab, normale GXL ausstattung alles elektrisch und Klima etc...

Ich hab ihn bisher zum ultimativen Tourer Ausgestattet
AUSSEN :
32'' BF Goodrich AT KO Tires
PTO Thomas mechanical Winch - Custom steel Bull Bar to fit
Full length alu Roofrack ( to take all the Gear plus Roof camper)
270L Fuel Tanks (dual tanks)
custom made Rock Sliders (schuetzen meine Schweller)

Alle sitze mit Canvas Seat covers (wasser abweisend) ueberzogen
Fahrersitz ist ein Nissan Pulsar SSS Sportsitz, besser fuer mein Ruecken
Sony USB Radio und 4x Lautsprecher PLUS Subwoofer
GME 80 channel UHF (Funk) und anklappbare Antenne am Roof Rack (6.9DB)
Deep dish fussmatten, kann sich wasser und matsch drin sammeln, dann auskippen
eigenbau Schalttafel fuer Licht und 12V ausgang schaltung
Kofferraum 12V fuer mein Engel Kuehlschrank/Frierschrank (kaltes bier)
Amaturenbrett Matte zum Schutz vor UV strahren, Alle scheiben dunkel getoent, auch UV schutz
DUAL Batterie System, eine ist eine Tiefenentladbare fuer den Kuehlschrank (trennbar vom Netz)

Hello Rico

Welcome to the Buschtaxi lunatics club. I'm sure you'll get a lot of useful information from the guys and gals on here. You also might be able to contribute something yourself, as we are always open to learning something new.

Its a very nice 60 series you've got there, so look after it, and it will give you good service for years to come. I wish I could join you down under as we here in the UK/Europe are not as fortunate as you having all that space to roam in, while we are restricted to the odd bit of green laning and off road sites.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the "craic" on here, as we are all friendly folk and enjoy a bit of banter.

Thanks for the welcome, Good to see more international 60 owners, its good to have some people to compare specs and exchange opinions and experience.
Yeah AUstralia is very pleased when it comes to 60 series wagons, they had it all. But Japan was even sicker!
I am doing up another 86 Modell HJ61 at the moment

Rico, maybe you got some information for us 61 drivers regarding good sources of spare parts.
I requested infomation from roodogs and one other supplier regarding an engine overhaul kit, which they sell in AUS for about a 1250$, unfortunately they never bothered to get in contact with me.
Any information about the quality of that parts?
My engine is torn apart and waiting for a rebuild, i am trying to source the parts atm. A set of pistons is about 1000.- Euro here...

Ich bin MATES mit jedem LandCruiser 61 or 60 owner ... Utes sind da schon ne andere Klasse, aber auch nett

The Engine Rebuild Kit on ebay for 1250$ is aparently not too bad. I can get a kit here in Cairns off a Diesel Joint for about 1200$ that has all japanese made parts in it (thats what u want mate)
Pistons are expensive, but I would have to do some research on where to buy these here in Aus, I am sure there is plenty of places that still sell em, the good ones with good qualitiy steel ring sleeves that dont stuff up!
If u want I can do some asking around, also check on the forums mate!

Also here is some new pictures of my BULL BAR she is finished, the new 3'' hoop is on - I love it, goes good with the sliders!
