HDJ100 torque converter problems

Beitragvon JBT » Di 12. Apr 2005, 19:46

I read an article in Autobild about HDJ100's and according to the article 10% of the hdj100's with 4 speed autos have tourque converter problems (separation) between 100-150k km.
Is it realy that common and have toyota recalled and cars because of it?

JBT, register with the Land Cruiser Club South Africa to find out more about your problem. Great Site, great people and very helpful.

I also drive the 100 series, but have no problems with the torque converter. This only seems to appear on vehicles that tow a lot and heavy. Also, the Overdrive should be disengaged, when accelerating while overtaking or uphill.

See you on the other side: www.landcruiserclub.co.za
