Hey Neowulf!

Why do you need TüV-papers? When I've got you right, you come from Norway? I guess they won't help you very much there... Anyway, with your suspension- and wheel-setup, you would cause every TüV-inspector a heartattack :greensmilewinkgrin: !
When and where do you cross Finland? There are a few SLCK-Meetings in the summer, maybe you could make it to one!

Btw,
check the links in your signature, they don't work properly...

Hej,

that's a great 80 you have. Nice pics in your garasje.

My guess is that if you have your car legally registered in N then you should be able to go almost anywhere in Europe without additional papers. It's a different matter if you move abroad and want to register the car in a different country. Or do I somehow understand you wrong?

Anyway, yeah, let us know when you come to FIN.

hi , i need the papers due to the norwegian road aproval system , thy demand a third part test of the rig to aprove it , so i need copies of tuv papers or new tuv papers writen out (due to norwegian law the only indipendent test lab is tuv or equal.)

I could do the test in finland, but i don't speak or write suomi so i'm trying this forum ( if some of you know what the finnish goverment demands i would be more than happy to get that instead, i might even go to finland to get the rig tested if it's aproved in anny eu-contry its aproved by the norwegian goverment :D )

I regulary go to ivalo to se my girlfriends fammily (she's about 50% suomi) and we where planing on going to laplandtrophy this summer but it's a no-go intill we have the papers in order.

i live in kirkenes so it's just a qouple of hours driving.............

thanx
vegar

btw i'm at satanihelvete@hotmail.com on the www instant mesenger...........................

Hi,

ok, now I get it. This might be difficult. In Finland the law says you can register bigger tyres, if the diameter changes by 51 mm max. Your tyres are slightly bigger than that. However, the Finnish authorities let you get away with modifications beyond the normal limits if you can justify that you need the modification for work for instance. I guess you could register yourself in the Finnish SLCK forum and ask the question there, lots of people speak English there or might even understand Norwegian well enough. The address is

SLCK Forum.

Another option is to contact Arctic Trucks in Norway or directly in Iceland if they can help you out with registration (I guess you tried that already?). In Germany the company doing Islandic Conversions is this:

Autohaus Seifert, see also

Isländer.

Maybe they can help you with appropriate certificates.

Does this help at all?

All the best from Sodankylä (160 km south of Ivalo),

Laplander

PS: Varangerfjord is one of my preferred holiday destinations; I've been in Kirkenes several times, even a great weekend excursion.

it's a two part problem , i need one test/papers for the lift and another test/papers for the tires.

i could go for the Arctic Trucks sett up but it's a smal lift and i would have to sacrifice a lot of flex , they just cutt the fenders and bolt on a 2"spring lift. (i have 6" lift on the spring's only and i like my japaneese covered over fenders better than the islandic hollow ones)

they also need the tuv papers due to the new rules and they only have it for their rigs , AT-island is hard to gett at, they have papers from the factory but i can't get in contact with them .

ørn in AT-norway has gott his 80 aprowed with 37" tires (haven't seen it yett but they say it's awesome)

if you could send a request to the finnish toyota importer and ask for an aproval for my tires (and mabe even the lift) it would be great, papers from toyota are bether than tuv i think, if they say that my settup are ok the goverment can't say no :D

btw you can stop at the blue house before statoil when you enter Hesseng for cofee, thats where i live :D )
