Hi Cruizers,
Recently I heard of some new shackles called "Hyper Shackles". They´re supposed to improve the flexibility.
Has anybody tried out these things?
Where can I find any informations?
Regards,
webcruiser

Hyper Shackles
Hi webcruiser,
If you´re crossing over, the Hyper Shackles won´t really help. Sure - both tires will be on the ground, but the weight of the tire which is "going down" is only the weight of the wheel, not more. So I don´t think that there will be enough traction.
Another aspect: They don't really improve the vehicle stability. Not on the street and not off the road.
Anyway - at least I´ve never tried them out. But I don´t think that they realy work.
Further informations:

So - if you try them, let me know...

The Webmaster

Hyper Shackles
Hi webcruiser
I´ve seen em on a 82 FJ40 and they didn´t really improve its qualities. Though it looked quite dangerous...
Thought about trying em out, but had not the time for make em on myself nor the money to buy em.
Regards
Mike from CA

Hyper Shackles
Hi guys,
Got those Hyper Shackles and think they´re pretty fine - though it´s not a "solution of all traction problems"...
But if ya crossing over really heavy they can help. Sometimes...
Maybe I find a few pics and send em to the admin.
Regards,
Steve (Stave Lake BC - 4Wheelin´ at it´s best!)
